BNB Smart Chain
BNB Smart Chain (BSC, chainId 56) is an EVM-compatible Layer-1 in the BNB Chain ecosystem. It uses Proof-of-Staked-Authority (PoSA) consensus with a set of elected validators, producing blocks roughly every 3 seconds at very low transaction fees. BSC hosts one of the largest DeFi ecosystems outside Ethereum — PancakeSwap, Venus, and hundreds of other protocols rely on it daily.
