txpool_inspect

txpool_inspect returns a human-readable text summary of every pending and queued transaction in an Avalanche C-Chain node's transaction pool, organized by sender address and then by nonce. Each entry condenses a transaction into a short string showing the recipient, value, gas, and gas price, so you can scan the mempool without parsing full transaction objects. On the C-Chain — the EVM chain where AVAX pays for gas, secured by Snowman/Avalanche consensus — this is handy for understanding what is waiting to be included as blocks finalize every one to two seconds. Use cases

• Debug a stuck AVAX transaction by locating it under its sender address and nonce in the summary, confirming whether it is pending or stranded in the queued set behind a nonce gap.
• Audit what is sitting in the C-Chain mempool during a congestion incident — for example a surge of Trader Joe or GMX activity — to see which senders and gas prices are competing for inclusion.

Errors & troubleshooting

Common pitfalls

• The txpool namespace is Geth-style; Avalanche C-Chain runs coreth, which is Geth-derived, but not every endpoint exposes this namespace. If it is disabled you will get a "method not found" error.
• The output is formatted for human reading, not machine parsing. For programmatic access to full transaction objects, use txpool_content instead of scraping these strings.
• During heavy C-Chain mempool activity the response can be very large. When you only need counts rather than detail, reach for txpool_status, which returns lightweight pending and queued totals.
